Game running super fast
The game is running ridiculously fast. I watched some gameplay from the PS4 to make sure but the game is running in super fast motion or something. It's like it's in some kind of special hard mode that makes it way harder to react

I think it's because the game is running at 144 fps. I assume that because all the options said 60hz that it would be limited to 60fps but I guess my G-sync monitor is overriding that or something.

Yeah I think I have the same issue, I played the game before on PS4 but I don't recall it being THIS fast. I also have a 144hz Gsync monitor. I think it may be a Gsync specific issue then...

Edit: I just checked this by disabling Gsync, and then the game runs just fine. This should be patched.

Yup also tried turning off G-sync without changing my refresh rate, fixed the issue.

So it's running at around twice the speed of normal? Maybe that's why it's called Velocity 2X

I have an ROG Swift and had to take it down from 144hz to 60. It was going insanely fast.

There's an identical problem with the first game. I have a 144 Hz monitor.

FINALLY a PC game thread where people complain about too many FPS, instead of not enough. Faith in humanity restored.

Yeah, if your monitor doesn't have a toggle hz button you'll need to use something to force the fps to 60. Try Rivatuner or Nvidia Inspector?

Check your Nvidia control panel settings to make sure that "Preferred refresh rate" is set to "Application controlled" (default is "Highest available").

Not sure if AMD has an equivalant setting.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass this on to the dev team so we can look into a fix.

What? This is the exact same issue the previous Velocity game had, and they never fixed it. =(

What I'm really complaining about is that the game speed is tied to framerate, even if it does make sense for development reasons.

Just got this game, and managed to figure this out on my own. It works now, but this does not generate happy feelings.

Was running super fast for me too. Simple solution was to change the graphics options to play in windowed mode and it runs fine.

in the Nvidia control panel set Velocity 2x to run at application controlled for prefered reefresh rate instead of highest available, and the game will probably automatically set the FPS to 60. No need to turn off g-sync probably. (I haven't tested this myself)
