Then refund the game and gtfo. Go play something else.
The dev is thirsty for his character and the violence is meant to unsettle you.
None of this is hidden in the store page or the marketing, why did you even buy this game?
The only reason I'm even giving you the benefit of the doubt that you actually did is because of the ultra specific new player experience of being brutally vibe checked by the spider things. Something tells me that looking up a playthrough would be too much effort if you didn't even wanna put in the effort of trying it for free. Otherwise it really does look like you just came here to ♥♥♥♥♥ about something you knew would upset you.
The dude draws incest porn on his Twitter. If he was actually into gore, it wouldn't even be a debate.
How do people not realize how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ obvious it is that they're trying to sound smart by using uncommon words when they obviously don't know what those words mean? Not to mention how childish it is to censor yourself on a forum that you are in no way required to. In a discussion about a game where anime girls get ripped in half by buckshot.
No one's "crucifying" you for not liking it. They're calling you an idiot for throwing a public hissy fit about a game you had every warning about before engaging with it.
No one's denying that. Genuinely no-one in this thread has denied that the developer is into some aspects of it. You're just making the vaguest possible statement to feign observational skills.
Well if the game had more substance as a shooter and in its level design and tried to push the boundaries of the creators fetishes more it might have earned a place in the guru hall of fame or the shooter hall of fame respectively, all I see is a serviceable but mechanically bloated shooter with a mediocre level of guru.
If it's just the reloading, you can even turn that off.
The more you say, the more obvious it is you have no idea what you're talking about. If bullet physics and a manual reload is "bloated" to you, why did you buy a game that advertised having more realistic gunplay?
I'll give you the same challenge I gave someone else that generically said the game wasn't "innovative" as if that's a requirement for something to be good: Name one other boomer shooter with a lean feature.
However, I also would prefer a more censored version if it ever came out, or a mod or something.
