also being tropey doesn't make a piece of media bad and I'm not one to judge something that isn't even out yet just based on marketing alone (cough cough transformers one)
Of course being high-effort doesn't mean a game will be good necessarily, but it's at the very least a green flag.
Did you not check out the Night Mind review for this game? The whole esthetic is to make the game LOOK like it's the tired cliche people are assuming it's going to be.
Watch Night Minds review, you'll see this game has the potential to break new ground. I haven't been this excited for a project since Shipwrecked 64.
