Crash during Prague intro scene

Crashed twice in the same spot during the prague intro thing. I had to wait 3 minutes for it to come back to that moment and redo a part of a mission because it didnt save.

FOUND A FIX!!

I turned every setting to low, ran it in windowed mode, and turned off subtitles. That let it run through the entire segment with no issue. I don't know which one of those was actually the fix, but it let me get past it :)

I've just had the same thing happen to me. Not happy that there is no autosave before the Prague intro begins and I've got to redo the end of the previous mission

Crashed for me in the same place as well. Currently trying again with few lower settings to see if that solves the issue. Yep it solved itself. Got several small dots over her face though, both times, as she drops her stuff. They're evenly spaced so probably something that has to do with the facial rendering.

4 Crashs, then i edit the Options :

- MSAA (Off)
- Contact Hardening Shadows (Off)
- Volumetric Lights (Off)

Now it Works with Very High Settings and 2560*1080 Resolution

I followed Dampfwalzenschieber's advice - turned off MSAA, turned off contact hardening shadows but left volumetric lights on (not highest setting) and I've managed to progress past the explosion.

I fixed it by disabling all the preorder DLC guff, if anyone else doens't solve it by dropping their graphics to make it look like a well made Source engine mod.

I had the same problem. Fixed it by doing the following:
* Vsync Triple Buffering (probably better off with disabled)
* Low settings
* EXCLUSIVE FULLSCREEN (windowed didn't work for me)
* Disabled subtitles
* Disabled all DLC
* Verified Cache through steam

It took me SIX tries

I had the problem... I tried the workaround provided without results...
I updated my graphic card drivers.. tried again with work around and it went all right without even slowing down.
