Tessellation is causing cables to bug the hell out! [edited]

Seems to have started since I updated to the DX12 Beta, however I'm running 11 right now, everything on and at Very High on an i7 4790k @ 4.7ghz and GTX 1070 FTW. Latest Nvidia drivers, playing at 1080p.

Basically, those grey cables with blue tape around them that you frequently see on the ground get weird textures for me when I get close. They pop up and get kind of square. I don't think it's artifacting, as I haven't noticed any other visual weirdness in MD or several other games.
This distorting also only seems to occur when I get close to the cables, however, and as soon as I move away, they shrink down to normal size. I'll try to take a screen next time I play. There's lots of these cables next to Chicane's landing pad, for reference.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Edit: joridiculous found the cause to this graphical bug to be Tessellation. So I guess in the meantime, if you're experiencing it, turn that off.

Screenshot here. It's the weirdest damned thing. I tried reverting to an older save, tried verifying my game cache, and still this happens. I can only assume somebody ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up with these textures with the last update.

At least I'm glad that it's not an isolated incident for me, since for a moment I was thinking maybe it was a weird artifact (just got a new GTX 1070 FTW like two days ago, so you never know...).

It is a buggy port, unfortunately. Seems like this graphical glitch started popping up after the last patch. I'm playing the beta.
Sucks to say, but thinking I'm gonna hang up the game for a while til they iron some of the stuff out more, like the DX12 performance and stutter in DX11.
Damn shame, because aside from arguable stuff regarding the story and the controversy over the microtransactions, the game has a lot of potential to be "Great" or "Amazing" rather than just "Good".

Seems like a pretty uncommon (I guess?) but very detracting/immersion breaking bug. Not seeing many people mention it on the forums. I hope they do some serious fixing to the game and soon. Really aching to come back to it, but there's just too many things detracting from the experience right now.

Thank you! Sucks to turn off a graphical settting (I kinda prefer Tessellation), but it definitely sucks a lot more to have those cables go buggy as hell and destroy immersion. Yeah, its a pretty weird bug. So far i have only seen those cables at the helipad place. Im in Golam now and have tessalation on. Just imagine that place with this bug. .OMG!! :D

Same. Didn't notice it happening with cables until the cult mission. Haven't noticed it anywhere else.

Hi there.
I just booted up my save at the area inside Talos' hideout before you drop down the long shaft to the window (last area before you encounter Rucker), and the bug still happened for me. As soon as I got close to those grey cables with blue tape, they distorted with some crazy geometry.
This was on the latest patch today and in DX11.
