Does the game still suffer from framerate issues?
I bought both Human Revolution and Mankind Divided on sale last year as I hadn't played them in years(originally played on Xbox), played through HR which still runs well aside from a few minor frame drops every so often

when I started MD it was basically unplayable with how bad the framerate was, dropping down to single digit frames to the point that it took me nearly 2 hours just to get through the opening tutorial mission

at the time I'd looked up ways of trying to mitigate the issues, lowering texture and lighting quality and turning off DX12 being the consistent recommendations, but even with that the game still wasn't even reaching 20 fps and I had to just give up and abandon it

I'm running on a GTX 1660 Super, so that fact that I have a graphics card that is newer than the game is but still can't run it properly makes it even more frustrating as I had enjoyed my original run of MD on the Xbox and really wanted to play through it again

Since this topic pops up every couple months here.

A quick guide:
You can max out everything in the graphic settings, when it comes to display settings however, you can set everything to your pref setting EXEPT MSAA! turn that ♥♥♥♥ off, for some reason it inhales performance, just horrendously optimized

Try googling what MSAA does.

Odd that a smartass like you with 3k+ hrs in MD never noticed that there is no difference in edges just by looking at Jensens hand. wether you max it or not.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how mad were you when you typed that post?

12/10 would do it again

Never seen MSA do what it does in this game. I came here to rant and saw this post. i9 rtx4080 32g ram and I couldn't get past 50 fps with drops to 20 fps with everything maxed. Figured a 2016 game wouldn't cause this machine issues. I was about to uninstall this game.

I will try removing msa

update: Just removed msa and gained 100fps instantly. Contact shadows can be minimized or off and you will gain even more (20-30fps for me.)

Running well for me with a 5950x and 7900 XTX - https://youtu.be/aDM8UbXeXzo?si=hcLrCFoBVEOhBkPl - MSAA does kill performance as others have said. Also, DX11 runs better than DX12 for some reason. Lastly, there is some stuttering in Prague but it feels like shader compilation stutter.

They didn't fix the graphics and bugs problem. My issue is the game would have broken graphics everywhere after playing for some time or loaded last save few times getting killed. My GPU RTX4070 Super never solved the R9 390X problem. Maybe this game is Radeon friendly only.

Thank you, this worked for me!
