No audio during cinematic cutscenes
Anyone else had this problem?

Ingame audio and at the main menu is fine however all cinematic cutscenes like the opening one and those in the extras menu have no sound whatsoever. Tried everything my drivers are up to date and i have no issues with any other games. any help would be appreciated, i just fixed the crashing at startup then this issue arises..

Yes. I have this problem as well. I'm using Home Streaming on a Steam Link. I was wondering if that might have anything to do with it.

Nothing will really happen if you don't post your hardware information.

i have found the music volume in some cutscenes to be louder than the voices talking.

That's not the problem mate, i have no audio whatsoever except main menu music and during normal gameplay. The opening logo's like AMD have no sound whatsoever, and neither does any cinematic cutscenes like the 13 minute recap video. Tried everything my only options are refund, stop playing till a patch or play the game without cutscenes.

The opening logo videos (AMD etc) work fine here, and I have normal menu audio and gameplay - but the opening cinematic is completely silent. Something's goofy.

I'm using a Logitech G35 USB headset, for reference.

I have this same exact problem in certain cutscenes, like when Adam is talking with someone, I'll have zero audio. (Had zero audio in the trip to golem flight, for example.) Some hhelp in a fix would be appreciated.

I plugged in a normal headset (I don't have speakers hooked up), rebooted the game, and everything's worked fine since then. No idea why.

Well, I use a logitech g35 headset as well, but when I unplug it at those times, my speakers don't work either, so I doubt it's a headset issue.

I've had this problem since the beginning and I've updated the game with every patch. I'm using headphones, my PC doesn't even have speakers. The cutscenes are the only time there is no sound. Kind of ruins the mood a bit.

You guys aren't the only ones. This happened to me once i got into arc and saw the big guy (cant rmember his name flinging around a police drone) and no audio it came back for a bit then went away in all cinimatics except the interactive ones.

Here is a fix I found on REDDIT. I tried it & it works.

Quote...
Open Regedit and create a DWORD value in "HKLM\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NvStreamSrv" called "CoreAudioDetour" set to 0. Reboot your machine (or restart NvStreamSvc).
End Quote.

This seems to work for more than just Deus Ex MD such as No Man's Sky as well as others.

I can confirm that this fixed the issue for me

This is not working for me. I have tried everything I can find and I still get no sound during the cut scenes in DX11. If I switch to dx12 I have no problems with sound.
