Overheating cpu
Socket currently at 75C, max it can go is 80 I have a h100i and dont have this problem in other games, is this a known issue or is my cooler busted?

seriously if you have temps like that the cooling system is not functioning. The failure might have just happened. Have you tested it on other games.
not yet but I will now, the CPU itself is cool it's the socket which is melting

What CPU do you have? If you have an Intel CPU, it's not overheating. Intel CPUs don't start overheating until about 90-100c. They'll start thermal throttling, and then at 110-120c, it'll shut the PC off to preserve itself.

They do not run at those temps with a water cooling system. The issue is not whether they are getting to hot. The issue is whether his cooling has failed.

could be a failed temp sensor on the motherboard then...
With the game off for a couple minutes the socket is down to 48C, it's usually mid 30's idle I think, would you say the cooler is ok or borked?
