Game seems to be locked at 30fps
I realise I'm not running the best hardware out there so that obviously doesn't help, but no matter what settings I choose it runs at a solid 30 fps. No dips and nothing above it. I'm running a GTX 580, i7 2600, and only 6GB of RAM (I need to upgrade soon, badly).

Edit: Changing settings includes raising them as well.

It's not. I'm getting 60+ pretty easily. As long as it isn't in the train station.

I didn't think it was, since they said the 30fps lock was only for the consoles. VSync is disabled as well.

I'm getting an average of 80fps. It's not locked to 30.

I said "seems to be", not that it was. Not sure what's going on on my end, then.

disable vsync

this game is by no means fps-locked

I can confirm that it's 100% NOT capped at 30, or 60. On my GTX 960 (Medium) I'm getting 120fps, dipping in cutscens to 60fps which is capped.

reason: 30fps are for videos, if you watching cutscenes they are videos not using your gpu to render them in real time

VSync is already off, and 30 fps was in-game as well. Just noticed I hadn't updated my drivers so I'm gonna try that.

Edit: The drivers were already up to date.

The game requires at least 8GB of RAM, you've only got 6GB. That could be it.

Probably that and my card only having 1.5GB of VRAM.

Def need more ram and Vram. Time for an upgrade!:)

i just have 8gb ram and no problems

but 2gb vram just dont cut it anymore nowadyas and i noticed nearly 5gb vram usage (just around 4gb ram usage) through afterburner in the opening mission on ultra textures

vhigh and ultra textures even warns you to be 4gb+ vram

with 2gb vram i guess mid is best you get w/o any fps issues

click on the dedicated fullscreen setting and read what it says when the tool-tip comes up. :steamhappy:

Yeah I can attest to the 2GB VRAM Medium settings, with a 2GB GTX 960 I'm getting 120fps with the occastional dip into the 90s. I'd say 4GB for High settings, and 8GB for Ultra.

Bet you're using a HDMI cable?
Ditch it and get a DVI or Display Port..
