How do I get my serial key....

So I got my box version of the game early and try to register my steam key...the only problem is that apparently people report having problem with activating the program on the dvd called redeem.exe (apparently only people having a windows 7). Now, you need the program to apply a code which THEN will give you a steam key (the most idiotic method i seen so far). Now my question is....Do any of you met with this problem and did you maybe overcome it in some way....

Well only you guys from Poland has this Problem idk why but no one else has these Problems.

Thanks.....apparently it's about our version of the game, and as I deducted it doesn't work on windows 7
