This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 15 hours? what?
This topic has been answered and is no longer followed, pc releases seem to be always 19/18 hours (1900 my time) behind the console releases (midnight my time) this appears to be just a fact and no one seems too bothered by the wierdness of it or the stupidity of such a difference in time for digitial content.

That would make it 1900 release day..... 19 hours late!
come to pc they said, its better they said,
hitman made me wait untill 1800 release date, while my mates played it at midnight on ps4
no mans sky delayed 3 days and 18 hours from the ps4 release (too long for me so i brought a second copy on the ps4 to treat as an expensive demo)
and this now will be 19hours late.
Its a digitial release, why delay it for 19 hours?
why do pc only gamers put up with this? in the case of no mans sky i can sort of understand it, they had last minute issues to deal with, but for this and hitman there is no reason what so ever.
For some one that works nights its doubly annoying as it means i have to wait till wednesday(though that is ofcourse beyond the point)

tell me: if it was always going to come out 19 hours later, is it still late? the quick answer is no, it comes out when it comes out. we dont "put up" with anything, cause its normal for things to release when they release, generally midnight-3pm est release day, which is the norm. as for your "come to pc it say, itll be better.." yada yada, you have a cheaper system, that goes out of date far slower, and runs far better then any console does.

it says 1 day 14 hours as I type this which would make it 10 AM Central time on the 23rd. so whats the problem?

I have been a console gamer for, well more years then i can renember. A release date has always been that, the minute the date is there, the game is released, this game will be no exception, 00:01 it will release on ps4 and xbox, same as all games, but on pc its not out for another 19 hours, that is why i say its released late.
i dont mean this as confrontational, i dont say this with anger, i am annoyed at the companies for doing this and surprised that people put up with it.
The pc cheaper, nope sorry, my pc cost a hell of a lot more for me then my ps4, hell just the gpu was twice the price of the ps4 lol. Since i can not go halves with my flat mate (no gamesharing on pc, well no playing at the same time) games are much more expensive for me on pc too.

But yeah my point is that its frustrating that gamers seem perfectly fine with the release being 19 hours into the day.

it makes it 1900 my time, 19hours past the release time should i of brought it on the ps4, with no reason for the lateness

/\ um sorry but many if not most games do NOT release at 12 AM on the release date so what you are saying is not true.

i know that is untrue, many triple A games release at midnight, sure, but there are far more games that just get released and put on the shelf with no fuss. your surprised people are putting up with the norm, which is silly. and pcs are much cheaper then having to buy a new console every few years for 400+ bucks when you can make a pc for 1k (which is low-mid end) and have it last for much, much longer.

thats cause you aren't looking for them, but large quanitites of games get released all the time without having any fuss about that.

its not the norm for me, perhaps (as i said to the last post) it is for pc players and thats why its not an issue.
my ps3 lasted 7 years (technically still alive now, just not used) my ps4 is now a year and a half old, and plays every ps4 game i ever throw at it, i switched to console as i was pissed off with how many games suddenly needed to be dropped in visuals to work on my pc, yeah i know people will say the ps4 is dulled down too, meh it amounts to the same. I came back to pc due to vr and as much as i love vr this release time nonsense is bloody annoying.

One thing that makes up for it a lot is the view distance and higher number of npc's in games.

even in the past when most games did release at midnight, Valve's games always had a 10 AM central time release. now most other game makers seem to do that too.

"for you" and "for the masses" is a very different deal, for "the masses" realizing that games get released all the time, without having a release date, on both console and pc, is obvious.

your ps3 lasted 7 years, a pc would last longer then that if created at the same date, and still run games at better graphics then it for far longer, at an acceptable framerate even. consoles simply do not match up dollar for dollar.

there is no release date nonsense, your expectations are based on an assumption on your part, and nothing more.

that does explain why people are not pissed off by it, no less frustrating but atleast i know, steam need to learn there is more then one country and time zone, must be worse for Australians(cant spell this late at night) hell it would be a day late for them

what is there to be mad about? we have a counter that shows when the game will unlock.

a few years ago there was no counter and it was always funny to see people stay up and then go crazy at midnight to find out their game would not be releasing until 8-10 hours later. I could understand being mad back then but not now as again we know.

no my expectation is born from being a gamer for a couple of decades lol sorry but as we came into digitial releases, the games on consoles have been midnight release date, with out fail.
lets drop the console vs pc aspect of it in terms of quality, my experience in that area does not match with your words and it is not an area i sense that either of us will agree with the other, better to ammicably agree to disagree
