Try disabling it and see if that gets rid of the 'compression-artifacts'.
I would prefer 50 gb of cutscenes or at least an option to with free DLC etc.
I know there are some areas with bad internet-conection or awful contracts but there are also lots of areas with great and cheap internet.
Also there is compression that gives you high quality with rather low data - just look at streaming services like Nentflix they have way superior video-quality with probably rather low size.
So what? Then dont play it on your SSD? Or as i said give players an option with a free "High Quality Cutscene DLC".
To be honest i dont care about SSD for gaming at all - yes it loads faster but who cares. My steam library is too big for an SSD anyhow and i have no intention of switching games between SSD and HDD depending on what i play ...
Btw. i bought 1 SSD for windows - tried it - was underwhelmed its not like im starting and restarting my PC every 5 minutes ...
last but not least there is a middle-ground between this awful quality compressed video and 4K video compression ...
If your stand is "cash shop, no game" then fair enough. Don't buy it.
You do know that SSD helps with other things besides restarting your PC right? You are among the very very few I have heard that switched to SSD and found it underwhelming. What I used to do when I only had 1 SSD drive is that I installed the game I played the most on the SSD.
But I do agree that some prerendered cutscenes looked so bad it was almost funny
Yes it was an improvement but not that great to be honest - maybe its because i always had a top-notch pc therefore everything was always pretty fast.
Also isnt SSD outdated already and beaten by Ram-Drives?
