Tranq rifle vs stun gun

I chose the Tranq rifle at the beginning and its been useful. But now Im in a shop that sells stun guns. What is the difference between the two other than the rifle taking up an extreme amount of space in the inventory? I can get headshots no problem with the 10mm so I dont feel like I really need the scope.

Stun gun has a fairly short range, maybe 10-15 feet, but takes up less space and no matter where you hit the enemy it knocks them out.

Adding to this, unlike the 10mm, the stun gun doesn't care about armor or helmets, it's just an insta-KO against most regular guards.

Stun gun is short range but guaranteed to work if you hit someone with it but for how short of a range it has, you might as well just do a takedown in my opinion.

Tranqs work sort of like Metal Gear's, if you get a headshot it's instant but anywhere else it'll take a little bit before it kicks in, only issue is at far range you have to make sure they fall in a place where they won't get seen inmediately.

I would say the tranq rifle had more flexibility but the stun gun is good for quicker takedowns or for when you can't get to them.

It takes a very long time to get a tranq rifle so you're better off getting that first just for that fact alone.

Both are avilable for free in early Prague hub. Tranq behind a fake wall outside of the building where you get your augs back. Stun in the sewers, closest entrance from your apartment, go right when the path splits up.
