Managing Augs is... confusing me.
I'm a bit confused over the whole "switching augs / managing power" system.

POSSIBLE SPOILER -

After you get your augs fixed (damaged from train station bombing), and discover you have some others you didn't know about, the tutorial takes you through switching certain ones off to keep power usage at the required level. It worked for me then but now I'm onto other missions, I don't get the deactivate option in the Augs menu for any of them .I've deactivated one in the tutorial but cannot re-activate it, nor deactivate any others. What am I doing wrong?!

You should pay more attention to the dialogue and text tutorials next time.

You can only deactivate augmentations that you don't have a single praxis point put into. That means the grey ones, but not the black or orange ones.

You can't reactivate augmentations that you've disabled.

You can only deactivate augmentations if you have more than 100% stability/load. That's called overheating. You can't deactivate augmentations unless you're overloaded/overheated.

You have to go into the sub menu of the augmentation you want to disable, and click the DISABLE button in the bottom right corner of the image.

This makes no sense -

"You can only deactivate augmentations if you "have more than 100% stability/load. That's called overheating. You can't deactivate augmentations if you're overloaded/overheated."

So which is it? Can I disable augs when overheating / overloaded or not?

You say I can only "deactivate augs if I have more than 100% stability/load", which you refer to as "overheating", but you then follow this up by saying "you can't disable augs if your overloaded/overheated"...

I have Praxis points invested into each of the augs I'm trying to disable.

My confusion remains.

Yeah, woops. I edited it. I meant UNLESS, not if.

Yeah, you can't disable any augmentations that you have points in.

Does anyone see the point in disabling augs?

I'm at 200% critical and all i get is a little glitch every 5 minutes that kind of adds to the atmosphere. xD

i think im not able to play some missions with the augs i have disabled ( the one that lets you superjump to get to very high places in missions). now im stuck with augs that dont really do me any good......the aug managment system is AWFULL
Menry 26 AGO 2016 a las 1:57
you can still try and get the Icarus Dash, with that you can reach high places

No, your aug managment is awful. You chose to disable those augs, not the game.

^agree the current aug system is really a waste of time there is a mission/s that will allow you to use all augs but the time it comes around there kinda no point

I haven't really messed with it because IMO the new augs aren't very useful. Maybe on my next playthrough when I try the "kill everything" approach they'll have more benefit, but right now I'd rather just be invisible.

If you did the sidemission for Volkov (or whatever the aug guy is called) then later on in the game he'll fix you up: no more system overloads and all deactivated augs become active again. So then it's pretty much free reign on whatever you wanna pick.

Lol you disabled somewhat essential augs. That's on you. Time to start over, I guess.

There is more than one approach to almost everything in this game. You punished yourself by choosing to disable the augs that you did. Stop being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot.

You can just go out on the balcony and jump through the window...no augmentations needed. You're literally just stupid.
