Help with connecting PS4 controller!

Im trying to use a PS4 controller to play Deus but for some reason it doesnt work. When I start the game it recognizes im using a controoler because on the main menu it shows the a and b button of a xbox controller but it wont allow me to do anything at all! The controller works perfectly fine with other games just deus is giving me a headache. Do I have to emulate my controller to a xbox controller for deus to recognize it? if so any idea how? thanks

Ive tried downloading it and attempted to use it but to no avail. Would you be kind enough to give me step by step instruction on how to make it work?

Just get InputMapper for DS4. It's never done me wrong and automatically connects the controller when plugged in via usb or bluetooth!
