The ending?
Am i the only one who feels really disapointed by the end? I didn't feel like i really did anything of importance other than some of the side missions.
Also only 1 boss like WTH? I was expecting mutiple interesting boss fights just like we had in DE:HR but not only 1 boss at the end?

Lol, it sucked. They ended the game in the middle of the story.

I agree. In HR you felt like you were part of some big conspiracy but in this it was just meh.

You know... There is a nice little sidemission in the starting part with Jensen's apartment... A cult of a sort... Once you finish that one you get Cult of Personality achievement.
Does it have something with ending? Dunno. But I do know everyone who rushed the game and avoided as much side missions as possible got disappointed with that ending.

Feels more like a setup for the next game than a real game in itself.

You just liked the story so much that you want more immediately. It's really a sign that the game was GOOD.

I did all of the side missions I came across. And yes the cult did have something to do with the main storyline *****^SPOILER****** they were the ones who did the train station bombing.

He never said he liked the story he actually it sucked at the beginning of the thread. Also they shouldn't built it so they set up the story for a new game but rather the way CD project red did it with The withcer 3 where they give us the whole storyline and then add other storyling DLCs after.

Funny that, of all games, you bring up the Witcher 3 for which The Witcher 2 was a 50 hour prologue.

I'm very disapointed with that ending. Its not an ending actually. What's the point of this game if the story ends right in the middle, i dont get it.

The main problem is, that Jensens story is kind of a prequel for the first Deus Ex. For example you find out that Josepth Manderly and Page are behind the events of Human Revolution and Mankind Divided but its not Jensen which take them out but Denton in Deus Ex 1. Which means Jensen get only the pawns to eliminate but if you played Deus Ex you already knew that you get the chance to kick Manderlys @ss.

The story in itself was decent. The ending wasn't. Felt cut off, like the devs just ran out of time or something and had to end the game there.

Exactly. Anyone going into this game thinking they can dismantle the illuminati is just naive. In fact, Jensen inadvertently sets up elements of illuminati control (like Silhouette).

Like i said, its a prequel. We know that Manderly is behind the actions of the terrorists but Manderly is needed for Deus Ex 1, where the player can actually kill him. Thats why its of course kind of lame that Jensen will never get the chance to get the masterminds.

Totally with you, that ending was awful. It was bascially just a 2 minuet ad for DLC.

I thought the ending was fine, but then again, I suffered the last 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3.
