Battery bug?
First thing I did when I could was to maximize my battery, so I did. For a while I had a fully charged battery.

Now, it is down to its minimum again and never charges beyond that... What gives? -.-

It looks like it raises the max possible charge but once it drains it goes back to that small recharging segment. I did the same thing thinking it would expand that recharging segment

yeah sucks don't it?
as thestein says. it only changes your MAXIMUM capacity so you need to use biocells to boost it

way to go, devs, for making the game more obtuse :/

use unlimited battery hack

So you never played the previous game. Noobs confirmed.

It feels to me as the power drain is actually a percentage rather than fixed values. I never felt it gave me more battery life at all.

It doesn't matter if I can double my battery strength if the power drain is still calculated by percent.

To be fair, it worked like this in human revolution as well.

But this game has serious energy issues in comparison.
We no longer have "energy bars" which were everywhere on HR;
Additionally, the minimum charge for the battery is only 1 bar, while in HR it was three bars.

Only 1 bar means you cannot use the smart vision and do a takedown at the same time.
What kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this?

Additionally, what's the point of buying the recharge augments if we are forced to use (expensive) biocells anyway?
On top of that, biocells aren't just consumables to raise our energy, it is also key item to make objects works in the environment.

Not to mention the "experimental augs" are just an energy sink which makes them not even viable. You can't use them even for the lolz without running out of power.

And finaly, if you don't use a whole battery bar, it will recover that battery even if it over the minimum (partial used battery bars). But how much is one battery bar? HECK IF I KNOW, because the game only shows one straight bar, with no markers whatsoever as to where one battery ends and the next start.

WELL DONE GUYS, you just created the perfect cyborg, too bad he only works if he's plugged in.
You'd think in 2029 they would have better batteries instead of using old iphone ones.

I am pretty sure I upped the maximum capacity it automatically refills. So you should try to find that one.
And I am also pretty sure I can use the augs longer than before with the capacity upgrade.

No offense, but I'm "pretty sure" you have no idea what you are talking about.

It was the first thing I did with my preorder praxis kits... and I didn't look for it since then. At the beginning I had problems with punching people more than 3 times (no energy left) now I don't.

If that is not enough for you.. I don't care.

Nope, it only charged one bar. They only raised this in the DC version but just for the lower difficulties.

Okay, I didn't know that. I only played director's cut.

To me the Energy Drain seems like overkill, If you ever take a look at the small video clips of the skills while choosing the skill it shows a dramatic energy drain Decrease then what we get! This is most notable with Titan Armor where the video clip doesn't show the energy draining at all! When in reality what we get even with a full battery is 9-12seconds before the energy drain as drained everything!

This combined with the Energy Marker being drained is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game breaking!

This drain rate does not appear to have changed with regard to the difficulty setting, I am not happy about this.

Thus I invite everyone to use a .ct which you can find by going here http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?t=203

Just get the Micro-Assembler experimenttal aug for only 1 praxis. Top row far right in the aug tree. It lets you break down any weapon into spare parts which you can then use to craft batteries essentially giving you an endless supply of batteries. No more power problems. It's one of the most useful augs in the game.
