Day and Night cycle

Very simply, I've just booted the game up where I saved it and it seems brighter, like a different time of day.

Is there a day/night cycle?

I guess there is a day/early evening cycle, since I've noticed a couple of times that the light shafts from the film-noire style blinds have moved to an other side of Jensen's bedroom

The time of day is entirely story driven, but you are shown different times of day, it is not just day/night.

Yep it goes through morning until late evening / night in the course of a playthrough.

And the game gets more hostile the darker it gets, so take your time during the early day and explore and get to know the place :)
