Does Adam Jensen's apartment actually lock ?
When you use his laptop? it seems to do nothing. She just says she locked the doors, what doors, they still are open.

The front door. Yes it actually locks. However, you can't lock it from the outside, and you have to lock it whilst you're inside....it ruins the purpose of doing so in the first place.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think you can jump out the bathroom window? So you could lock the door and jump out the window and then go back to the front door to see >:)

I find it a huge immersion breaker. There are desparate people on the streets, and you can't lock your appartment normally?

Also, can't close drawers you open...
Also, can't store items in a neat stash in your appartment, everything ends up being thrown around...

As mentioned you can lock your front door but it unlocks the moment you open it. It will stay locked if you jump out your bathroom window and you are able to come back around and hack your way back in. Kind of pointless I agree but there was one side quest that made me think locking my doors may have been beneficial.

Also as mentioned the 3 cases in the wall, opened by the computer can store 8 items in each.

Well then, even more pointless. I didnt have a close enough save for me to try it and was going to give it a go in my next run but if thats the case, then the only reason to lock your door is to exit via a window and then hack it. Oh well...
