It is NOT a part of the main story, though.
You play it as a 'Jensen's Story'
well, i guess i wont be getting any dlc or season pass.. the fact that it is a seperate storyline with no items or xp transfering back to the main game.. it provides no value to the main game.
Thanks for your input so far
It took me about 3 hours to complete but I could have probably cruised through in an hour but I decided to hack every terminal and read all the emails which probably took two hours and offered absolutely sod all in terms of worthwhile information.
For £9.50/$12; it's far too much. Knock 75% off and it may be worth chucking a few quid for a few more hours but the story offers absolutely nothing to the main game and it just feels like a completely non-essential purchase.
If you haven't already; try Desperate Measures in Jensen's Stories if you have it - it's very short but probably better quality.
It's odd to me too. I wonder if many of the people who feel that way are also the ppl who prefer to play ng+++...
For this and other games, I'd prefer to restart a new game every time. And I don't mind that the dlc segments are separate. (I have my own criticisms of the format, but that's separate.)
Also I still haven't played through the rift yet, but if there are more interactions between Jensen and Pritchard and they are as entertaining as the intro video, this would be worth 5 dollars already for that lol.
personally, I think they will integrate the dlcs into the main game in the director's cut, like they did with hr's dlc.
money wise, system rift is worth the price, but, just barely.
The DLC issue is what made me pass up the whole game.... until the set is priced like the length of the game.
No, the save files are independent. At the start of system rift, depending on the difficulty selected, you'll have X praxis for building Adam, and there's a couple really obvious additional praxis early in the blade, as well as before you enter the blade itself.
Overall, I don't feel system rift is bad, but it's limited. Combat really takes a backseat to stealth.
No. You get a dozen praxis points but have to start from scratch and use them wisely. Very wisely.
