What Illuminati secrets do we learn in System Rift?
Wasn't part of the advertising that we'd learn something about the illuminati? I thought we'd finally confront them, or at least discover a base, like in the Picus basement in HR, but noooo....

I completed SR without a peep from the Illuminati. Did I miss something important?

For that matter, do the servers in the rooms do anything? They're each well guarded in their own ways, hard to get to, but there's nothing to do with them as far as I can tell. No info to download or anything, just a holo table with a logo. Seems like something they might have planned to use in a cool way, but never got around to actually putting the content in...

No, huge let down. Only thing is Stanton Dowd gets mentioned. Couldn't make sense of the server rooms either other than a hologram.

It added nothing.

Heard it's around 4 hours long, no important plot is a let down. Love the game gameplay wise, but this prolly isn't enough, just look at the The Witcher 3 Expansions, amazing value for money.

The data terminals give you a E reader if you move those square blocks up from the ground in the right way. but its nothing major wtf or anything. Apart from that yeh its the s eelectrica said, you see that Stanton Dowd is now linked into the game busy trying to make even more money. but again if you dont know who he is thats gona just go over your head.

The only thing you learn about them is that they have gotten access to the bank's files.

+1 to that. The Witcher 3 expansions are amazing, and great value for money.

We learn that, through Stanton Dowd's blackmailing of Palisade, the Illuminati have access to supposedly secure files and data for practically every major corporation in Deus Ex.

How do you access those floor blocks? Been trying, no luck. Just see the holotables with no card readers.

Not much in this DLC in terms of story advancement i'm afraid.
So, you need remote hacking to raise the floor blocks. So much for "multiple different ways to accomplish the same goal". I still have no idea how to find the correct pattern.

Some blocks you raise have red lights and some have green...

Good to know, thanks.

Not intending to be dense here, but when they're in the floor, they're red; when I raise them, they're green. I raise them all and don't see any key card slot or anything. What am I missing?

Same. Just went through that part again and couldn't find any way to solve this "puzzle." I'm not sure there's really anything there to solve.
Morgian Sep 24, 2016 @ 9:12pm
I am certain by now that there is nothing to solve. They are just server chambers, which are there since there have to be some more than one, but without relevance to the mission.
