How to Roll while in cover

For some reason I can't roll while in cover between locations. What keys do I have to hit besides space to make it work? I thought it was double space but that's not working. Help!!!

The jump key (space by default, but maybe you chaned it). Also, you have to aim with the mouse first, e.g. to a wall that is not too far away, so an icon appears in that location that means that you'll rush there if you press "jump".

The tutorial says to also use the movement key in the direction you want to go. I have the same issue as OP, and following either the tutorial or the responder's comment does not work.

wen u stay in cover u need to point in direction u wish to move and u must hold space..if u just tap u will valut xd

Neither of your comments helped. I figured it out. For some horrible reason they decided you have to do it while not looking at where you want to go. You have to look straight ahead at the cover you are hiding behind. It doesn't make sense, but that is how it is engineered.
