Stuck at load screen after Talos Rucker mission
I'm at the ending part of the Talos Rucker missions where Jensen jumps onto the helicopter and he sees the big guy. The game just stays on the black loading screen and never finishes.

I have done the performance settings workaround (which fixed some loading issues for me earlier) but still this one section will not load for me.

Same problem for me...for three weeks now. And we are not the only ones. Three (at least I think it's been three) patches and it still doesn't work. Getting rather irritated...this is actually the first time I've bought a game and been unable to play it.

I have been patient, but I seems to me the number of people having fundamental problems with the game is rather large, and maybe this should take precedence over dx12 etc.

1 fix the game
2 do cosmetic stuff.

I just got this as well. Finally, my save games are loading again and I thought I'd be able to play this train wreck of a game, and now I'm stuck after the Rucker mission.

Three weeks as well for me. My specs are: Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 @ 2.60GHz (16 cores), 64GB of system RAM, and a GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB.

Low and Medium settings crash on load. High and Very High setting still produce the infinite load times after the cutscene. Ultra produces an infinite load on the save file.

Even some gaming spec check websites say I should be able to run the game no problem on High but recommend Medium.

This is possibly a bit interesting. My specs are:

Dual Xeon E5-2670 8 core, 64 Gig ram, Geforce GTX 970 4 Gb.

My Xeon is Dual as well. But its 8 Cores 16 threads. So you'd think with our CPU, GPU, and system RAM, Deus Ex: MD would be simple

I have dual Xeon's as well...

This is now more than a bit interesting. Does the game (for some strange reason) suddenly have problems with multiprocessor? More than a certain number of cores?

Strange, but this does seem to be something that's common to all of us.
VampireHunterD Sep 23, 2016 @ 10:17am
yea Im starting to think so that the game has issues with multicore and Xamount of threads

SO...WOULD ANYONE FROM THE DEVELOPERS CARE TO COMMENT ON THIS...OR MAYBE FIX IT. WE HAVE, AFTER ALL, BEEN UNABLE TO PLAY THE GAME FOR MORE THAN THREE WEEKS BY NOW.

I got past this by installing the game on my old computer (which is now a HTPC, an old i7), loading the section after the Rucker mission, saving it, and loading it on my "good" computer. It works, but it's just stupid that I should have to do things like that to be able to play the game. Next I see "nixxes" on a game, I'm staying away.

I finally have a solution that worked for me at least, and sort of proves that the game have problems with multiprocessor machines.

I set the affinity for the DXMD-process to only use half of processor 0, ie. 8 threads. It now contiues after the rucker extraction vids. Obviously pleased to be able to play again after nearly 4 weeks, but I do think the developers should have been able to fix this much earlier. I did, after all, send them both DXDiag and log-files on september 2.
VampireHunterD Sep 26, 2016 @ 10:12am
Where do I set that?

Thank you. So I have CPU 0 through 15 (Node 0) and CPU 0 through 15 (Node 1). I should set DXMD to only have CPU 0 - 8 checked, and CPU 9 -15 no check for Node 0, and CPU 0 - 8 checked for Node 1 and CPU 9 -15 not checked (Node 1)? I have never done this before for a game. Shouldn't have to lol.
