Why the link on whatnot page?
This is important:
Up-to High Quality settings the game is reasonable well to play at 1080P and 1440P. For Ultra HD and/or Ultra quality settings the game starts to load up high resolution textures and yeah things just get exorbitantly difficult for any graphics card. My advise is simply stick to High quality settings with modern graphics cards up-to 4GB of VRAM. Regardless, any decent and modern enough graphics card will have no problem running the game at High quality settings. But again Very High and Ultra however are a massive challenge.

The game is expected to support DirectX 12 upon a patch released, scheduled for next month. We'll revisit this article then.
nVidia is still getting the good ol' negative performance in DX12 like its been getting since the Ashes debaucle.
Haha, I have the GTX980, meaning that I don't benefit at all from DX12.

But I've seen somewhere that someone was now reasonably able to turn on MSAAx4 ("Display" menu, not "Graphics") in DX12 mode. I suggest you all try that in case you try DX12. (In case you end up using it, don't forget to turn off temporal antialiasing and maybe even sharpening.)

dx12 only seems to spread cpu load better across multicores, hence amd systems get more from it. gpu-wise, gains are minimal.
Hmm.. I tested the game using its benchmark at High preset, same as guru3d and my average fps was better in DX11 on amd fury However, DX12 was less stuttery.
horrible update .. (DX12) .. good bye stable 60fps .. 35-40-55 ... up and down .. back on DX11

(GTX1070) OC

Strange, I'm seeing a solid 30% increase using the high preset on the in game benchmark with a Fury X.

Maybe try reinstalling the latest drivers with ddu?
Same here, floats around the 55-65 marks on DX11 with High settings with a GTX970, but drops by about 4fps across the board with DX12.

Also, absolutly terrible screen tearing on DX12 but none on DX11 and that's with the same settings, (vsync off in game but on FAST in nvidia control panel).

nVidia cards don't really do dx12, just use dx11 and save yourself from some frustration.
Vsync on Fast is not good solution at the moment ... (micro stuttering in every game for me )

I get better performance on all games when using Fast VSync and no tearing... except in DXMD, of course.

Damn...

WOW +2 fps great work devs!!! You are best programers ever

that fits in pretty much with my own experience on a GTX1070; a substantial regression of performance at 1080p. It also shuts down all the lying gimps claiming "omg! massive performance increase! haha shut up haters!"

To be fair, it is a patch. Maybe some people who had horrible performance before are now getting the standard level of performance, which from their perspective is a huge boost?
Maybe try reinstalling the latest drivers with ddu?

I always do that.

PS And now the game just stops working when I launch it in dx12 mode wtf lol
