The upgrade that lets you smash walls and the one which lets you open lockdown doors are also really helpful for unlocking quick routes.
Also check the level for a quick route. Often there is a tower that's worth a big chunk of the data requirement so you can beeline to that and back. Most levels seem to have something like this
For example, in S_01 Lavawall (I'm assuming you mean the very first level) - the speedrun route is to simply triple jump up from your starting point, download that tower, then jump back down.
It's definitely doable - and if you want proof here
You would have to use the highest scoreboosting modifiers you can. Having an upgraded AI level from playing also gives you a bit of a score boost (mine's sitting on around 1.2x with the AI at level 5 atm)
Some of the modifiers which give bonuses of +50% or more score are things like attack ban (can't perform any attacking action), max health or energy drain (-2.5% per second), enemies do 400% more damage to you, must complete the mission in stealth etc. etc.
Of course, especially in the early levels, it would still be trivial to complete the level with all of those modifiers. I mean there isn't even any enemies or anything so none of the conditions will really effect you.
For a score run you'll typically want to kill as many enemies as possible and get as much data as possible, as kills and data are what make up the bulk of your score.
