The real reason the alarm sounds at GARM.
Chikane is a damn illuminati informant. I tried it and the alarm only sounds AFTER you call him when you are moving to the second chamber. The alarm doesn't go off at all if you call the other person instead of your boss, leaving him to not know you are alive until the end of the level.

What triggers the alarm is, at the start of the mission, when you are given the choice to call Vega or Miller. Calling Miller will always result in alarms sounding in the second hanger area.

Note: When you call Vega, you don't talk to Chikane until you're almost out. On the other hand, if you called Miller, Chikane contacts you saying that he had to move cause he'd been spotted.

Do you have anything of note to add or are you just going to regurgitate what I said?

Could say the same of you.

This has been covered already.

We don't know that for a fact. All we know is that after calling Miller, an alarm will sound. Which means anyone monitoring communications within TF29 could be the spy.

No offense was intended. I was simply confirming what you said in a bit more articulate way because, how you worded it seemed incomplete, if not confusing. I didn't want to come off sounding like a jerk, a trait that apparently is natural for you.

Exactly. At this point, we know Miller's strings are being pulled but, is he "the mole"? Or, is it someone hidden deeper in the ranks of TF29? Perhaps someone outside the agency? As you said, "anyone monitoring comms". Whoever it was, not only informed Marchenko of Jensen's arrival at G.A.R.M., but then warned the facility of Chikane's position and exposing Jensen's presence on the grounds. We hear Chikane's comm message about being spotted, as well as reading some Pocket Secretaries with the message about Jensen back from the dead (or words to that affect). However, if you called Vega, Chikane seems genuinly surprised when you call him on your way out.

But, here is where I have a question. Are those same Pocket Sec messages there if you called Vega, instead? I would think they wouldn't be but, I don't know for sure.

Thank you for your valuable contribution. Okay, that's 1 for the "idk" group. Anyone else? ( jk, sorry. )

But seriously, I won't be able to check this for a while, during my current playthrough, so I'd really appreciate it if someone knows if the same Pocket Secretary messages are there if you had called Vega instead of Miller.

No, I don't recall any such Pocket Sec's. The ones I read was about killing the poor A.R.C. guys, someone itching to try out their TITAN augs or whether Marchenko was mad or just dedicated because he has a bomb "augmented" inside his head
