There seem to be cracked dxmd versions, but I don't know if this means removal of denuvo or simply the suspension of the phone-home feature.
I remember people were claiming the Linux version doesn't come with denuvo.
This video is from 2017. Even though linux doesn't come with denuvo it still performed worse than windows. Probably due to drivers but who knows, there don't seem to be any more recent comparisons

As the others have stated (funny to see them here, I know them from the hitman 3 forum), next time don't buy denuvo games if you dont intend to play them.
In capitalism: vote with your wallet.

So you always have that option.
Which you shouldn't have to be forced to use, but such is life. Either don't buy or adapt.
Fun fact: Many steam users own more than one game.
It's also available on GOG without it, no need to crack or pirate it or bypass it
And funny enough they run the same as reported by anyone that bothered to buy both
Either I'm confusing games or years. :O :S
Sure, let's deal with your original question:
So what? You should play 1 before you play 2. Your question makes no sense.
Probably never at least not on the steam version, because it's already been proven time and time again that it didn't hurt performance on the game.
You want to know how everyone knows that? They already released a version without denuvo on gog, if you wanted that you could buy it there.
People who own both have confirmed they both function the same. It's just in your mind that you think there's some magical difference.
Didn't announce it? It was known since launch, literally from day 1.
When did you buy the game that you didn't have a chance to know this?
Why are you buying games without looking at their store pages to see if they have features/drm you do or don't want? That's the question you keep ignoring.
Even if you had been silly enough to pre order (why would you ever pre order a digital game release? They don't go out of stock, there's no need to pre order) you could have refunded it up to 2 weeks after launch while it was clear and obvious that it had denuvo.
You could have even played the game for up to 2 hours (and seen there was no performance issues) before refunding.
This all really comes down to your inability to pay attention.
