GOG .exe on Steam Version
Most of you still here probably know that the release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on GOG is DRM free, no Denuvo, whereas on Steam it seems we're stuck with it. I'm curious if anyone has tried place the .exe from the GOG version of the game into a Steam install of the game and seeing if it works?

That's not how programs work, and the game got muh denuvo cracked weeks after release, plus the mac and linux versions never had it.

Eh, I'm assuming the GOG .exe is edited to remove Denuvo (obviously) and remove any access to the Store and Breach mode. Surely someone out there must have tried doing some edits to see if it would work with the Steam version.

Yeah, I'm aware cracks have been a thing almost since launch, but an official update would be better. Mac and Linux don't matter to me in this case, since I don't play games on those.

I actually modified gog exe to work with steam when it came out, was only possible because gog version had weird thing when it sort of emulated steam to work

Hey, glad to hear someone did the work to see this (knew someone must have). How did the game perform for you? Did it seem better?

Wow. Just discovered from reading here that the GOG version has microtransactions removed, and Breach is gone? Take my money GOG. That's incredible! Man, I wish Square did that here, too.

Same, at the very least I wish they'd remove the DRM. An official update to the Steam version would be great.
