Graphic glitch [SOLVED]
*************
Solution: Disable DX12 to stop the glitches.

***************

I'm guessing this kind of glitch is pretty common.

Does anyone know what is causing this ?

I have the lastest drivers and a very high end rig (GTX 980 Ti)

I'm guessing it's related to temperature. But I'm not sure. The GPU load is heavy. The monitor shows 81 ºC. I play many games with heavy gpu load but I have no problem (despite the heat which is noticeable in my room).

Try the basics first:
1. Reboot PC
2. Verify Integrity of game cache

81 isnt a problem. When you get up to and over 100 its a problem :P

Try turning off everything and see if it goes away. If it does, enable all the things on by one until (or if) it happens again.

Also check all the stats.
Then you should have a better idea of what is going on.

Im experiencing the same thing. Specifically outdoors. And I have no clue on the fix.

DX11 or DX12 ? Do you use any third party software for monitoring fans settings etc ? try upping the fan to keep GPU cooler or rolling back a graphics driver version to see any if it has any effect.

As OP says verifiy files

I have been getting this too after either the latest or the patch before that (haven't been playing for some time). DX12 version. My GPU is running in the low upper 40°C to lower 50°C range while playing so temperature shouldn't be the issue.

The beta DX12 multi GPU or the ingame DX12 single GPU try DX11 ?

I think it's a DirectX12 issue. What I usually do is just quick save and then quick load and it goes away. Tends to happen outdoors in Prague only.

Just had a quick look around Prague in DX11 and the glitches didn't happen.

When did you spring clean your machine last check by removing dust from fans, rads use compressed air and a soft brush this helps keep temps down.

Disable DX-12 and you will not see that glitch again.

I had the same problem. It's not a malfunctioning GPU or bad drivers. Enabling DX-12 in options causes this problem.

Well it seems your card is undervolted and overclocked.

It is NOT a hardware issue. It's purely a software issue. Playing in DirectX12 is the only way to cause this.

This game has so many graphical problems...

I've been getting this one too, it's purely a dx12 glitch as it can only be replicated by enabling and disabling despite reboots. It's mostly affecting the longer and higher open areas of the map - I didn't find the glitch occuring at all in the pre-subway area of the map around your appartment.

Thanks to all of you guys. I disabled DX12 and all is fine now.

I was worried it was my card because I've seen something like this glitch in other games before, but thankfully that wasn't the case.
