In fact I am finishing Deus Ex Human Revolution (with the same graphics engine) and the amount of elevators that the game has is exaggerated to mask the loading times. A shame ,also the performance's game it's poor.
I don't think you understand much about video game development.
The reason why newer games with better graphics run better then this game? Is because Square Enix forced the devs to release early to milk all the money they could from this game. Its why we have these poor loading times and the performance on it. Also why it failed unlike Deus Ex Human revolution. And FYI Deus HR does not use the same game engine. It uses a modified version of the crystal engine look it up. Deus Ex MD uses the Dawn Engine. It clearly says it when you boot up the game and its the only game that uses it at the time of this reply. An Engine that was never properly optimized because it was rushed. And yes the loading times are slow like the guy said above me should not be more then 2 minutes on an 7200 RPM Hard drive. And i run everything on ultra besides the MSAA i leave it at 2x on 1080p. With an I5 4690k @4.40GHZ. And a Gtx 1070. But loading times will always depend on how fast the drive is. Also each time it loads on the loading screen its actually loading all the textures and objects in the game across the whole map another reason why it loads slow.
