Is it possible to lose/miss some side missions if you do the main mission too soon?

Hi all! I just started DE:MD a few days ago, and so far so fun!

But as of now, I haven't even visited the TF29 office yet. I've been working on side missions, but that has me wondering, is it okay to do the main mission as well, and go back and forth, or will there ever be a point when going too far in the main mission locks out certain side missions?

I'd like to alternate between main and side missions, rather than feel obligated to do all the side missions before advancing the main mission. If it is possible to miss things, will there be any indication?

its always good to do side missions first simply because during the game you might switch areas your in/cities your about. Maybe those missions won't be there later, or maybe you need to start a side mission early in order for it to appear later in the game.

I always did the POI and side missions first before continuing on with the main missions simply because your moving about in a few different cities/areas during the game.

if its your first time playing don't worry too much, some POI and side missions are easy to miss/break by doing stuff wrong that you won't know about really, such as visiting places to early before getting the mission, but it isn't a huge deal. Just have fun the first time.

You will miss missions. Typically when you need to leave Prague to go do other missions. You'll be warned that you're leaving before you leave.

Thanks. So is it safe to advance the main mission at least until it's time to leave Prague, without messing up the side missions?

I'd like to at least get started with it and feel like Jensen is doing what he's supposed to be doing! :)

again just have some fun, the police/thugs, etc in the game don't really get any harder, you won't run into very hard boss's or difficult foes that a simple emp shot won't take out. If you miss some little quests it isn't a big deal, the game is mostly an explore fest if you have your basic augments your fine for most of the game.

You'll move about between a few areas in the game, just make sure to finish up any such side quests before you switch main areas.

Prague not so much but in Golem city, alps, etc its very important to do side missions and such as you go because you can't go back to those areas later. Prague you'll visit a few times between away missions. I suggest in Prague just do them as you want and before you head out to away missions maybe then finish up your side quests.
