Same issue.

i have the same processor..

none of my system resources get close to maxed out, and it'll just crash saying my system can't handle it.

My game crash sometimes with a 580 nitro +
and I also have dialogs boxes that fail to show so it stucks the game sometimes when I'm talking to a charater - only solution is to kill the game and restart

Amazing that those bugs weren't fix yet, it is totally killing my experience with the game

weird, i have to set the affinity (in task manager) on the game to only use 4 cores (8 threads) so it can actually load some of the game, maybe the glitch your experiencing is related

It definitely has to do with the poor multi-core support in this game. I have a 3900x and my game doesn't full on crash most of the time but get's stick in load screens that never end. Then when go into the task manager and set the core affinity to just 1 single core I can get the through load time that's giving me trouble and return to all core affinity.

For now I'm going to see if I can limit the CPU affinity to about half the amount of threads for the Deus Ex executible permanently by using something like the Process Lasso software. We'll see if that helps at all.

Really unfortunate that we'll likely never see an official fix to that since the game is not actively being developed anymore. It's the biggest complaint that I have in this otherwise very enjoyable game.

3600 here same thing happened to me,

use direct'x 12?
I actually tried to deactivate the DX12 and it's even worse without it, crashes upon launch (with dx12 crashes upon leaving Adam's flat)
I'll try t3chn0cr4wl way now
Runs like a dream on my 3700x. Fully maxed out.

Try to change the processor affinity to use 0 -8 cores. Worked for me to get past some of the cut scenes. All other games work flawlessly. Overall this game is good but it's really buggy. My system: Ryzen 9 3900x, Sapphire 5700xt, 32 gb RAM.

How can you max out MSA 8X with a gtx 1070, I have some serious doubt about that.

The game doesn't like having more than 6 CPU threads/cores. Use CPU affinity setting in task manager to manually set number of cores while the game is running for DXMD.exe.
For Ryzen CPUs, every second numbered CPU core is a real core. So for example you will want to only have CPU 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 active to get the most performance as you can.
As long as you don't have more than 6 thread/cores set, the game seems to be perfectly stable for me. Besides, the game doesn't really take advantage of more than 6 threads anyways.

For reference. My CPU is the Ryzen 7 3700X

Any crashing issues I had were solved by switching to DX11.

Crashes almost every time I try to upgrade a weapon on DX 11 and 12.
