Stun gun bugged?
At first I thought it was a range issue, but I can't see how a pistol wouldn't work at 8 metres, is it a bug or is it really that bad?

Stun gun is the stun gun.
The handgun fires handgun ammo and can be switched to fire EMP (NOT stun ammo).

The stun gun has a range of about 7 to 8 meters. It's a very close-range, bolt-action defensive weapon.

You know, like stun guns in real life.

You can. And all that makes tesla aug much more usefull. In this part you do not need regular weapons at all.

I've got Tesla, but I forget to use it because it suffers the 'Too Good To Use' dilemma where I want to save it for horrible places - which is funny because even when I feel completely screwed, I still don't use it.
It would be reasonable if not one BUT. You can craft tesla ammo. The ...hmm... crafting augmentation that allows you to disassemble weapons and craft more things cheaper is one of the must have ones.
But to be fair, half of those augmentations are really too op. If you would have limited ammount of those it would me more fair, but since you can have all of them without any trouble (making a small side quest is not a problem) it just makes things worse (broken ballance). Not mentioning that ammount of augmentations in jensens arms would simply make them as fragile as glass. Peps and tesla in arms have no sence. So here is my advise better use stun gun withou bullet enlargments. Better use all weapons without bullet enlargments couse they are broken too. A pistol with 40 and something 9 or 10 mm bullets at the size of a regular handgun? At least i human revolution there was my favorite revolver whose model actually changed! Now 7 barrel revolver somehow has 12 bullets in it! WTF? Those are small things but they break immersion.
Sorry for the off top, just wanted to say that staff for a long time. I like last 2 Deus Exes but i also like the details to be as logical as possible.

You know what's OP? Cloaking. You can craft biocells and buy them all up and you'll practically have enough to ghost through the entire game. You can hack in front of people, you can knock people out without coming out of it.

At least MGSV gave a penalty to score for their cloaking.
MGSV did not have a 38 bullets in a pistol too (well ghost pistol, one that looks like glock, has some modifications that have even more bullets but they all change ... emm bullet holder in weapons model and you see it). Yes as a stealth game MGS V is better. It is better in terms of aproach to weapons. And it is much more optimised then DE MD. But it also is even more unfinished as a story driven game and much more repetative in gameplay and side ops. Mankind Divided offers more complex story driven game and unic side quests. They are too different. Besides cloack is a part of gameplay in deus ex, when in mgsv it is just a cheat fun opton. And ... i am playing criminal past now without augs and it is not that difficult really.
