[ISSUE] PS4 controller on MacOS glitch

Somehow the sticks are getting reversed when I press them a bit harder than gently. I've tried controller with various games as well as with games in Big Picture mode and none behave like this, save for Deus Ex and Bioshock.

Have you encountered the same issue? Is it possible to fix? Also would be great if the game showed me PS4 icons instead of XBox ones.

Same for me. Glitch exists, Hitman works fine.

Somehow steam updated driver for itself. dunno how. reinstall steam or something.

I too have having this exact same issue, tried doing these steps (https://support.feralinteractive.com/en/faqs/ps4_controller_support/) with no luck. Game is unplayable using PS4 controller - other Feral games work fine (eg the Tomb Raider trilogy)

update: added both plists from the above link; in prefs > controller > general controller settings > turned on PS config support; clicked into Big Picture mode where it informed me there was Gamepad Driver update - did this, restarted steam. Either one of these things or a combination of them seems to have helped.

Now in Deus Ex I'm not getting the reverse direction issue when you push hard on the joysticks. But the PS4 gyro is on which is just as annoying as the initial issue. Still getting xBox instructions instead of PS4 during the game - which is annoying but at least you can play it now. Also had to turn down X & Y sensitivity right down.

update 2: when to play today and what was working yesterday is now not working. Restarted several times and it's working again.

I have the same glitch here with the ps4 controller on my M1 Macbook, I reinstalled steam and tried everything I could without success. It works fine in other games, please fix this! And yes it would be nice to have the PS4 icons instead of xbox ones as well, pretty basic stuff we are expecting!

Exact same issue here - gyro is really annoying and X and Y sensitivity is incredibly sensitive. Playing with the PS4 Controller Config turned off is more playable, but there is a bit of lag. Works ok with a wired connection - sucks with a bluetooth connection. It's a bit of a mess really.

I thought I did something wrong, I was getting so frustrated with the hard press inverting the direction. Anyone find a fix? PS4 controller on MacBook playing Bioshock, inverted joystick with hard press.
