It's an open world in the sense that you have the whole world right there, and there are no loading times, but it's not open world because it's not an open world meme game, and the world itself changes after crucial missions.

so is it like a metro exodus open world but your choices change the owlrd or what?
AC Denton Jun 22, 2019 @ 8:41pm
It's like Deus Ex 1, Deus Ex 2 & Deus Ex 3.
If you have't played at least DX3, you should go play that one first, this is a sequel.
Though I'd recommend playing 1 first, then 3, then this.

i look online and it kinda sounds like the metro exodus open world where you in one location can loot all you want but after you leave the bus never comes back kinda thing im i correct?

Yes, aside from one area which is the main hub you keep returning to after missions.
Again, like the other Deus Ex games that you should play first.

You don't need to play the other games first. MD has a long 'the story so far' video at the start to get you up to speed.

Please stop lying. This is not an open world and it has a ton of loading times, which can be shorter for who uses SSD's, but still, LOTS of loadings. And wtf do you mean by "meme game"? Jesus this doesn't even exist.

So OP, there's a lot of backtracking in this game, and if you like exploring, don't worry, you will have plenty of time to do this.

It's a hub based game, like the other Deus Ex titles, VTMB, Thief Deadly Shadows, etc.

Like Vassago says there's a "previously on Deus Ex" bit you can watch at the start, but this is the sequel to Human Revolution which is a prequel to Deus Ex 1&2. So if you want play them chronologically in terms of the game story then start with Human Revolution, then Mankind Divided, then Deus Ex, then Invisible War. Even though you don't need to i would recommend you play Human Revolution first as it's a good game and well worth it.

It's not open world. Non of the series have been open world, if anything it's partial with laoding screens. Also unpopular opinion Metro Exodus sucks because of the open world, and it takes away way too much from the story and game itself. Companies need to stop making open world games....90% of them in the past 5 years have been ♥♥♥♥.

hub-based, so C.

The levels have to load, but they are medium-large-sized with a lot of detail. lot's of nooks and crannies to explore.
