DLC other than story any point?
So.. yeah.. like, I take it if you complete the DLC, other than getting "more story" theres no rewards? like.. you cant take any items from the DLC at the end to the main game?

Completed the desperate measures.. seems so -.- I know they wanted to sell us praxis kits and all but come on, completing the DLC gives no reward at all?

No. They're stand-alone.

Usually for a game series like Deus Ex, "more story" IS the reward...

NV and FO3 are kind of the exceptions (and, widely panned as being really overpowering for when you do go back in the regular game....) >_< that said I can't live without my chinese stealth outfit ;)

I would love another couple of story DLC's - i doubt we will see another DE game for a long while so DLC's are our best/only hope for more stories in the DE universe...DE has always been about the story/lore and not a game to 'grind for rewards' in the slightest...

Its not about grinding for rewards, I -refuse- to buy any praxis kits or give them money for nothing so I was -hoping- that by completing the DLC a few kits/credits/items would be thrown to the main-games stash.. doesn't matter that it didn't, its just a bit frustrating cus I like being an augmented god before the end.

Haha yeah fair point...and when i think about it you are right, lots of games will give you a wepon are something for the main game or at least let you keep the loot or whatever...Initially i was thinking about it from the point of having already finished the main game in which there would be no need for a 'reward' - but yeah - if you are still in the middle of the main game it would be nice to get something i admit... :steammocking:

I mean, Missing Link, in the Director's Cut of Human Revolution let you take all those many new Praxis points back into the main game when you finished it.

ONLY in the final director's cut version, though. Before that, it hadn't been fully integrated at all.

Plus: the story dlc in this one is not connected directly enough to warrant any form of continuation. The Criminal Past one takes place 6 months before, and at the start of MD you *lose* all that you would have had from it in the first place anyway. System Rift might, but again it doesn't really have any direct correlation (and heck could almost just be a dream for all we know).
