With 970, you better stay with 1080p if you want it to last longer with newer games.
You won't regret it.
This game is very demanding. And it looks fantastic as well.
I run at 3440x1440 with SLI Titan X on a 100hz monitor and a lot of games run at 100fps with high-ultra settings. These recent games unfortunately don't run anywhere near that even with watercooled and overclocked hardware.
