Xbox one controller always stuck in left position during game

The controller works fine in other games, in this games demo, The left ananlog stick is stuck in the left position. So like when I go to graphics settings it keeps changing the resolutions like the stick is stuck pulling left. Because of this I can't seem to change lanes in the demo.

Windows 10. It may be a broken controller. It happens in several other demos and games, it did not occur in Sleeping Dogs definitive edition that I played last night. I will try to get another xbox one controller next week and see if the controller is at fault.

It did pull to the left in Body Changer demo and color guardians demo. In Coffin Dodgers Demo, the controller worked fine. It also works in 10 second ninja, the full game.

Right Click "Xbox One Controller"
Select Update Driver Software
Browse on my PC
Let me pick from a list
"Microsoft Xbox One Controller"


The "Xbox One Controller" driver doesn't work, but the "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" does.

Some people needed to download the xbox one drivers from this website. After installing them, they were able to select the "microsoft xbox one controller" driver from the list.

That worked great. It was the driver that was needed, Thanks. Now I sold my xbox one controller as a not working / for parts ebay auction for next to nothing and I need to try to work with the buyer to cancel and give him his money back so I can keep the controller or I wont be able to buy another controller until next month for another $60.

no worries, I got out of the ebay auction and will refund the buyer. I would consider buying color Guardians if I like the demo if I see it in an indie bundle or a big sale, but they would mind control me not to play it, kind of like 95 percent of the games I buy.

I still have 2 entries for the xbox one controller. One says "Xinput compatable HID device" and one says "Xbox Controller". disabling the Xinput compatable HID device causes the gamepad to not work. I uninmstalled the Xinput compatable thing, then I plug the controller back in and it puts the Xinput compatable driver back. How do I get it so only xbox controller is in device manager and the controller doesn't pull to the left? It was working fine with only one entry in device manager, now it seems there are two.

I fixed it by changing the entry by changing the driver under xbox peripherals to "Microsoft xbox one controller" instead of xbox controller, and keeping Xinput compatable HID device under HID's. Removing the Xinput Compatable HID device causes the gamepad not to work in Color Guardians, but I had to have Xinput HID Device disabled and just the ms xbone driver in device manager or Batman Arkham City GOTY had problems with right trigger not functioning correctly and doing what the left trigger was supposed to do.(I couldn't crouch with RT unless I disabled the HID entry). Can you please fix the game so you can have Xinput driver in device manager disabled and the only driver "Microsoft Xbox One Controller"?

I found a solution: Keep M$ Xbox one controller and change Xinput comparable HID Device to "HID Compliant game controller.

Can anoyone please tell me how to get my right trigger to start working again? My controller thinks that I'm holding it down when I'm not I'm not trying to buy a new one or replace it, is there anything that I can do to fix it?
