A while ago, before the Xbox live arcade and Steam made amateur/hobbyist developers realize that hey, they could actually sell games without having to kiss some fat sharks ass, they'd simply put it on the web for free for people to enjoy.

Today, they can actually make a living of all that on the side hardwork and i fully support them trying to sell those games for a fair price.

That's the original freeware version of the game.

If you just want to play Eversion, play the freeware version. The Steam version has better graphics, seems to be better written (for some reason, the freeware version took up a lot of processing power), has another ending, achievements, etc.
