This is a minor release to address some issues.

Release notes:

Added:
- Update to Qt 6.5.8
- [Substance] Add log message for filters when several image inputs share the same usage
- [Nvidia] Add warning about latest Nvidia drivers (572.47)

Fixed:
- [Crash] When drag and dropping an sbsar with an usage in a single channel slots
- [Crash][Path] Change path type option is not grayed out when not clicking on specific path
- [Fill Path] Should not be able to select substance material
- [Engine] Artifacts along brush strokes
- [Engine] Paths can be broken with specific settings
- Issue with drop down for eye dropper color space
- [Auto-update] [Python] Wrong error message when using ResourceID without version
- [Shader] Crash when opening some projects

Known issues:
- [Color Management] HDR color space conversions with ACE on Linux produce clamped colors
- [Regression][UI] Right-click Menu is too small on HD screens
- [Crash][Python] USD export triggered by TextureStateEvent
- [Engine] Painting with Clone tool in normal channel shift colors incorrectly
- [Python] Ghost widget appears deleted by script still functioning

Substance 3D Painter 2025

Can't start Substance 3D Painter 2025 on Ubuntu 24.04.2

I can't start Substance 3D Painter 2025, it doesn't appear after Lunch is clicked on steam. I played some games via steam and I think my graphics drivers are ok and my laptop has more then enough power to at lest open the program (GForce 4060). When I run steam via terminal, I see some error about opengl after lunch attempt of 3D Painter. Installing opengl lib doesn't fix anything, it was already there. Any similar issue already reported?...

Bought it because there probably won't be a 2026 Steam release and I was getting tired of reinstalling a cracked copy every couple of weeks. Unfortunately there is absolutely no competition for this whatsoever, so until Blender implements a suitable alternative, sail the high seas. It really is the best texturing tool available.

Where to find the 1000 assets included in the subscription

Right click on Painter 2025 in your Steam library and choose Manage > Browse local files. You will see a folder named "steam-pack.zip". All the free content is in the zip located in this folder (around 650 materials and 350 3D models). It's not the most user friendly, but we will be working on a better way to deliver that content in the future....

Subscription question

I just wanted to get clarification on the subscription options. It looks as if the $25 subscription on steam is for all 3 apps (painter/designer/modeler) This is the same price as the adobe subscription for the same 3 apps. In the past, the subscription from Adobe has included access to download textures. Will the Steam subscription also include access to textures? Thanks!...

archlinux btw^^

Hi i am thrilled for the new 2025 version :) However i got issues running painter 2025 under arch linux. with the native client i get libbrotlidec.so.1 is missing (even i installed it on the system and its present in /usr/lib/libbrotlidec.so.1 and previously i had troubles with libtffi.so.5 , which i symlinked into a working state. i also tried to launch steam with "-compat-force-slr off" as described in the steam-runtime repo. i was also not able to launch it with proton. substance-designer however seems ...
