MMHO shutting down

So finally this game is going to shut down after some years, Thanks for giving me both good and bad experiences. I hope that Ubisoft learn from this one and produce a "better" sequel as this game has a lot of "nice" features despite it flaws. What I love most about this game is the Feature of "Defend" that putting the "Tank units" their role while in the classic M&M tankers are almost always ignored. The "limited" number of troops also serve as an encouragement for players to play tactically rather than "overwhelming" number like the classic game. The flaws are, of course, first one is despite some good graphic, the game is old that stick to "Flash player" not a very good decision. The glitch after moving from map to map to cause the battle disconnected or the disappearance of battle interface. And foremost, the slow reaction from the Dev when the server crash down and need to be deal with. Overall, some of the game features makes the game more "tactical" than many Might and Magic series and I wish that we can get some "Quality" sequel in the future.

I'll miss MMHO and I'll remember the game with warmth in my heart. Heroes of Might and Magic means a lot to me, as it does to any fan of the franchise. I was very upset with Ubisoft after the failure of Heroes 7. Maybe the franchise will be reborn like the Phoenix, but I think it will not happen soon. I'll have hope for this when the news comes out that someone bought the rights to the franchise from Ubisoft.

I gave up on this game once it was clear the devs didn't care: at one point they mentioned they'd add new towns/heroes, but then when I asked a year later they said they said no such thing. Even if I was crazy, that's obvious the game was in maintenance mode. Which is a shame. It was in maintenance mode most of its life and a lot of players were screwed by not seeing the writing on the wall.
