comparing snooker

this game has evolved for many years now and i have been playing myself for many years.
The game play control system is very good only let down by the bots playing way beyond what any human could ever do. I understand this is very complex to programme.
I wish there was a patch to come out to give human players some level of success and to stop Bots from playing impossible shots and no chance at all of winning the game. I have played easy level and hard and the outcome is the same. Also you play a bot who starts out playing like he has never played the game before and as soon as you have a good lead instantly he becomes a superstar.

Also How does this game compare to Snooker 19 i cant find any reviews to rate the two.

Snooker 19 is way, way better than VP4 and includes real tourney modes, real players and real simulated venues. The AI is also far better and the voice comments are good in general. I made an overall bad review for VP4 right because of the bad snooker content. The easiest difficulty level in career mode has not much of an aiming aid except this stupid ghost ball that doesn't help at big distances from the target ball, the camera angles don't give a good estimate compared to a table view in the real thing, and VP4 doesn't have some easy-play features to compensate for this, you always have the impression to be defeated because of the bad aiming mechanic, nothing to do with snooker. Then like you said: or the AI play is abyssmally bad or just alien-perfect over anything really possible, there is no in-between that makes for a challenging experience.
On top of all that VP4 forces you to be always online in order to play even single player sessions.

However, the Pool part is far better in VP4 compared to many other titles, but Pool is not my thing, so I don't recommend this VP4 for pure snooker fans. Snooker 19 or Cue Club 2 is the better choice.

thanks for your info. I bought cue club2 and after 10 minutes of playing I uninstalled then requested a steam refund. I have been playing VP4 for years now and have loved the game
they have nailed the controls to play and this is the heart of the game to be able to realistically play and make breaks and play very well. the controls of these other games are very poor and just terrible totally not good at all.
Still looking for a snooker game better than VP4 and cant find one.

I play snooker hell of a lot in VP4 and its one of the best out there. Shooterspool snooker is also good but slightly harder than VP4. However, id always go back to VP4 no matter what as the others just dont have the same feel.

Yes,I can play so im not trolling. Have untold amount of centuries and countless 147s in VP4.

wow, how do you get 147 in vp4 my highest break is about 50 something.
I play a bit more casual quick style, where you must take your time and dwell on every shot.

All of these other games are rubbish, snooker 19 and cue ball 2.
will there be a VP5. I hope one day.

what about a update then to vp4 make it better, but really its miles ahead of any competition.
I wonder how many players of the Snooker 19 kind of games have done a 147, that shows how good vp4 is. these other games are nothing more than a kids bash around type of games and have no sense of any realism and the controls are woeful .

what is your rating I cant get any higher than 2800 , but you doing 147 must be able to easily beat the impossible characters that I cant do.

My rating roughly is around 2250 to 2350 but I play online 99% of the time. However, I was doing a race to 25 against Curly on the hardest setting and I think I left it at 14-3 to me. This is all on my youtube channel

I began playing VP since the very first released and loved it until present. VP is the BEST pool game ever made.

I have played VP for years now and its the best out there by a mile.
never played pool only snooker.
