Some tips with the 'Ghost Ball'
I had a lot of trouble playing snooker in VP4, even with the ghost ball helping me, my break results were very modest (see I'm a polite man).

Then, I found a trick with the ghost ball: the ghost will touch the table's bed at one point. If you exactly touch the cue ball with the ghost ball so that its bed point is aligned with your cue, then you should constantly pocket if the object ball isn't too far away, and even then, it's a lot easier than in real-life.
My break results have very much improved since then.

I was very frustrated by the aiming mechanics up to now, but with this trick it gets easier. I hope this helps anyone having trouble to make a decent game in VP4.

Cheers,

Hi Slugz, first thank you for your kind invite, but I must say here that I played VP4 for 2 hours on my friend's laptop (together with another snooker game called International Snooker which is more on the 'arcade' side), so I don't own the game nor do I have a profile for it yet, but I strongly consider buying it because it comes so close to the real thing, I'm simply stunned.

During the testing, I quickly felt very uncomfortable with the - very original - aiming technique so different from all pool games I know, so back home I wanted to read more about this game on Steam, that's why I posted here my short experience.

But anyway, I'm afraid I'm way too weak to play online, I mean you easily will eat me alive...But I will keep your gentle offer in mind for the future :=)

sportive salutations,
