I'm also pretty certain I've asked this question before, many moons ago, and was told that width information is gained with a WS monitor, but only marginally.
Do you have a similar comparison with Shooter's Pool (assuming that has a dedicated 16:9 setting?)

I emailed Celeris and they say there is no loss vertically, and there is gain horizontally once the game's FOV has been adjusted to accomodate the new screen width.
Ignore that. I was looking at the thumbnails.
