Ai is bad

I have been playing this game for a few years now and the worst thing about the game is the way the Ai can play impossible shots multiple times if they are behind and put on snooker after snooker to win the game. Its very frustrating after you have honed your shots and done very well and are leading and to see you loose to freak Ai play. Please Virtual pool make your game more human like. There is nothing virtual about virtual pool. The physics and everything else is great.
Its a great game let down by poor Ai implimentation.

Couldn't agree more. It's one of the most frustrating things about the game. The problem is all AI is controlled by mathematics. In simple terms (and this is only an example) an 'easy' AI opponent will be programmed to miss their pot, let's say 60% of the time. A 'medium' AI will miss 40% of the time, a 'hard' AI will miss 20% and a 'good luck' AI will miss about 10% of the time. The ironic thing is it's actually less realistic to play a 'very hard' or 'good luck' opponent becuase they pot balls by the most ridiculous means. No player in the real world, no matter how good, would take on the type of shots the AI does.

The other annoying factor of playing on hard settings is the amount of luck the AI get. If they miss it usally goes bounces round the table and goes in another pocker. Or if they miss and it doesn't go in, they get a snooker by luck.

i cannot think of anything worse than playing AI. that goes for any offline single player game, for me the reason i play games is to play real people and counter there tactics. feel fee to add me and challenge me i do not care about rating so your welcome to try takes some ranking points :)

I have had my ranking playing snooker as high as 2670 and can never seem to break the 2700 mark. the AI becomes way to hard to compete against and when you loose the game you loose many points back down to 2600 and try to go again but its impossible.

Snooker/pool is the only type of game where I'll entertain the idea of playing online. When it comes to any other game I avoid online players like the plague, becuase 95% of them are idiots and have a poorer AI than compiter opponents.

Sadly I can't challenge you to a game becuase I never bothered renewing after my 12 month gratis ran out.

Maybe I can play some modes, but not checked in years.
