any better games than this

I see on steam there are many other pool / snooker games and I dont want to buy any of them.

so is vp4 the best snooker game out there. I think this the best and only classic snooker game out there. sure it has ts faults with the ai being more described as bots, but take that away I have been playing this game for ages now and i cant find anything better

tried them all, played this for years, this is the best. other than the online interface being alittle outdated and the fact that you have to pay $10 a year to play online and you need to purchase actual proper cues or your gameplay suffers and the fact that the population is not big aside from that its the best

ShootersPool [www.shooterspool.net] but you still have to buy your equipment which is as expensive as in Virtual Pool 4.
The graphics are superb but I can't say the same for its sounds.

Is that only Pool, or does it have snooker as well. Also, is it single player or MP only ? Can't seem to find it on steam either.

Take it for what it's worth from an experienced player on a real table as well as VP4 and even Pure Pool on PS4. (Pure Pool is a game that gets a bad rap from the 1337 but its not bad overall if you have forgiveness in your heart) Anyway I digress... VP4 is simply the BEST pool game in current existence. However...this game is HIGHLY technical and as close to command line pool you can get. This is NOT a bad thing for those who already know how to play pool or even have played Virtual Pool since v.0.1b but the learning curve for the interface is steep and even managed to turn me off for an unfortunate long while. If you want arcade pool this is not for you, if you love the sport and appreciate the many dimensions billiards has to offer this is the best experience you could possibly have outside a real pool hall. This is basically the "Gran Turismo" of billiards.

Lastly... the community has its dry n salty players (name one that doesnt) but overall... very helpful and friendly players that I have encountered that show and demand a friendly and helpful respect. Hope this helps and encourages more peeps to play this great sim of an even greater game.

Oh and the Snooker tables and games are on par as well. They made a lot of changes that improved that specific option in the game, I only read the updates. I have played Snooker on a real table once a while ago and it was only a 10ft table not the 12' standard and have not played it much since (would love to start again) but ....basically the overall physics and response in the game will provide you with a more than an adequate representation of any game that requires a table and balls and deals in physics and geometry.

In terms of "pure pool" experience, Shooters Pool is simply the best pool simulation on the market. From graphics, physics, interface, its just hands down better then VP4. Vp4 is has the advantage when in comes to playing options. Being able to play AI opponents is quite handy, whereas ShootersPool is online only. ShootersPool also has deformable cushions, so there are shots in shooterspool that are simply impossible to do in VP4. You can try shooterspool free in you choose. You will love snooker on shooterpool.

It has offline mode now, but only in pro version.
