Well I can run it at 4k res (3840*2160), how hi-def do you want :) ?

addition of Russian Pyramid table/balls/rules would be already great.

I was hoping there would be Virtual Pool 5, but then I found ShootersPool. No need for VP5 as far as I'm concerned.

Virtual Pool 5 is not neccasary anymore. Im perfectly happy playing the far superior Shooters Pool, and supporting a game dev that doesnt treat its paying customers like crap.

Could not care less about this game anymore. Moved over to ShootersPool which is a far better snooker sim with great graphics. Goodbye VP4 !

Shooters Pool looks good, but am I right in saying there's no AI opponents?

SP is the best billiards game all-time, especially concerning snooker. No AI opponents at this time, have to ask Jorge/Marcos if they are planned in the near future.

I see Shooter's Pool has 'Unlimited offline play'. Does this mean they've now introduced computer opponents?

If Shooter's Pool doesn't have an offline career mode, I'll be sticking with VP4 for definate.

Me too.

The developers told me they have no plans for AI opponents.

I just can't agree. I was watching a video of a guy who'd done a direct comparison, and the visuals on SP are no where near as good as VP4. I also watched another guy who'd been asked to play test SP and he said the two just don't compare. He said SP might look good in the trailers and stuff, but it's no where near as good as VP4.

Also, for those who like snooker, it seems you can't get your chin right down on the cue like you can in VP4.

Don't know if this was early Beta or something, but how you can say the visuals on SP are better than VP4 I just don't know.

And here's the guy who reckons SP is no match for VP4

Well, there's an ill-informed opinion if I ever saw one. These videos are so old now and they are based on early Beta builds.

You can get your chin down on the cue in SP. You can also get your eyes down on the cue like in VP4, which is unrealistic, but disabling view restriction is an option.

Indeed "the visuals on SP are no where near as good as VP4" - the SP visuals are miles better. Instead of judging by a video with the graphics set to low, better take a look at one with proper graphical settings like this: https://youtu.be/iyCioCPqJ84

I'd say this is not even the best it can look, as it looks slighthly better on my PC.

Mmm, admitedly those visuals are infinately better than from the one I posted, but aside from that gorgeous arena and crowd noise, I honestly don't see why I should switch to this. The wood colour on the cushions is horrible and on this evidence I still maintain you can't get your chin down on the cue to the same extent you can in VP4.

I'm very pleased to see from this video, that you can obviously disable the power bar and those stupid green diamonds floating above the ball you're aiming at. Can you also disable the score in the top left of the screen, and that 'absent from next match' alert in the bottom left? It's vital for my immersion levels, that the whole HUD can be disabled.

One question, though, just in case I start to warm to SP, can I assume my PC will handle this, if it handles VP4 okay?

That said, with no offline play I really can't see me bothering.
