Digseum is a short incremental journey about digging up ancient relics and building the greatest museum ever!
Short and incremental and you point out the obvious?
you arent understanding the purpose of this game. This is a short and incremental game. its three bucks. its meant to be 2-3 hours tops. when you apply the math and upgrades it kicks in. bigger numbers means more gains. simple.
You wanting this game to be something is not is a you problem. so yes your fix is to play the game bad, wrong, or not at all. Understand what you are buying. There are tons of idle and clicker games out there that have hundreds to thousands of hours as their design. i would suggest either being happy playing this game opposite of its design or finding something else.
a 4 hour experience couldve smoothed out some of the big, almost uncontrollable, power jumps.
I have no complaints about the price or length, but the pace is absolutely poor after the first few prestiges.
You go from making gradual progress to blowing through everything super fast. If I had known the layout of the dream tree in advance, or if I had gotten lucky with some random picks (exposing other upgrades), it would have been even worse.
If you know where the dream fragment upgrades are and pick them fairly optimally, you'll quickly go from earning a few dream fragments for the first few prestiges to obliterating the dream tree and buying all the upgrades you don't even care about because you have fragments coming out the wazoo.
Only thing I would change is the tag of "idler", because it's not. I mean if you wanted a slower experience, there you'd go, but there's really no point. It is SO much more effective to be that tiny bit more active and simply rebirth
