SPOILERS - Is there another way to defeat the tree lady?

I had to kill Kalash :( He said there might be another solution if only they had enough time. Is there a way to save him, or is killing him the only option?

He dies no matter what, sadly.. it's the part of the main storyline. Though you can choose the fate of "tree lady"..)

I've spent so much time trying to save Kalash at my first playthrough.. it only increased the pain(

I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do in this fight with Galene. Any suggestions?

Grab the saber and try to cut off Eli or Mandana, then you'll get the rules handed out. Search for a loophole in them.

Thank you! I've tried grabbing the saber and Galene keeps telling me to obey the rules. Am I supposed to grab it at a specific time?

It's the only way. Kalash was probably planning to do that since they were captured. It's a tragedy

Just got this part. But who said the "wish" had to have anything to do with the grove? A little creative thinking would've come up with with an OP wish that would've solved the current situation AND helped deal with the main plot.

What kind of wish would you have made that didn't deal with the grove and Galene? I'm truly curious.

My thought is that, you *did* sorta have to deal with the immediate issue of the grove, seeing as you were standing there and Galene was not particularly happy with you having 'stolen' her wish.
