game doesn't start fix

when I tried to start the game it did nothing at first. When executing it manually it told me that it ws missing the openal32.dll, you can get it here: http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip

fixed it for me

edit: looks like the creativelabs site is doing some restrucuring, can't find their current URL so here's a mirror on MEGA[mega.co.nz]

Update: the oalinst-file should be in the game-folder when installed; I found it under steam/steamapps/common/broken sword 2 .. just dubble-click it and things should be fine..

Thanks. I had the same problem. The game worked fine on my Mac but not on my girlfriend's PC. I'm trying it now.

It works just fine now. But I really don't like the PC version as much as the Mac version. The PC version is remastered now. Why can't they just leave stuff alone?

Just to be clear:
1) Put the 'oalinst.exe' in the same folder as 'BrokenSword2.exe'.
2) Run 'oalinst.exe' at least once before running 'BrokenSword2.exe'.

Shouldn't matter where you put the oallinst.exe. It's supposed to register the DLL with regsvr32 which should make it able to be found by any *.exe file regardless of its location.
